Verona Carpenter Architects is an award-winning architecture and interior design firm and a recognized leader in inclusive design. Certified as a woman-owned business in New York City and New York State, we offer architectural services from feasibility studies through construction administration, including complete architectural design, interior design, furniture specifications, and signage and wayfinding design. 

We are passionate about building projects that are physically and socially sustainable and that work for widest range of bodies and minds. We approach access more broadly than just code compliance and understand disability and neurodivergence not as problems to be accommodated but as valuable facets of our shared humanity.  

VCA is one of just five small firms selected by the City of New York to design important public projects as part of the Department of Design and Construction's Project Excellence program. Other recent recognitions include the 2025 Public Design Commission Excellence in Design Award for Briarwood Library; NYCxDesign 2025 Winner in the Higher Education category and 2024 Interior Design’s Best of Year Honor award; and winner of the 2021 Design Trust for Public Space “Restorative City” competition.
