UBIQ REtail

LOCATION: PHILADELPHIA AND GEORGETOWN, DC
AREA: 4,000 SF (PA), 2,000 SF (DC)
STATUS: COMPLETED 2015 (PA), 2016 (DC)

We designed a rebrand for this cutting-edge sneaker and apparel store, designing a new retail fixture program and material language for their flagship and expansion. The projects included new exterior signage and some masonry restoration, new interior fixturing, and new finishes and lighting.

For the Philadelphia store our design concept was inspired by the feel of classic college libraries, with some twists -- gold leaf lines the interior of the black fabric light fixture shades, leather tiles create an inset carpet, walnut panels form a complex faceted table. The DC project was a complete gut renovation; our design features a new exterior entry façade, a complex bronze basketball-inspired "net" to highlight the latest offerings, and a reinterpreted powder-coated steel newsstand.
