MEDIAMATH AT 4 WORLD TRADE CENTER

LOCATION: NEW YORK, NY
AREA: 70,000 SF
STATUS: COMPLETED 2016

MediaMath is a cutting-edge digital marketing and technology company, employing scientists, mathematicians, salespeople, and artists. Our design concept for this office in the sky, located high in 4 World Trade Center, was to create a kind of “calm hive” – organized and welcoming, buzzing with thought and activity, allowing for intense, detail-oriented work. The project serves over 500 employees and features gallery-like spaces for the company’s growing collection of pieces from emerging artists, in addition to work spaces, lounges, a yoga room, and a theater.

The inspiration for the lounge comes from the crux of the company’s work: finding patterns in seemingly random data. The ceiling is a sea of hexagonal fixtures whose pattern may appear random but is in fact calculated - the fixtures run parallel to each other and are organized along two groups of intersecting track lines.

This location is the largest of the offices we designed for MediaMath, which includes Cambridge, Los Angeles, Raleigh, London, Sydney, and Singapore.
