We created a new retail design language for the United States expansion of this popular Naples-based brand, known in Europe and Asia for its unique combination of form, color and material. For the Charlotte flagship we added a new skylight and an open-grid steel ceiling that plays off existing concrete to create spatial definition and contrast. Display lighting is carefully integrated into the built-in perimeter hanging and shelving system. At the historic Georgetown location, with a challenging 13-foot wide footprint, we made several key modifications to the existing structure, opening up and reinforcing the existing stair, enlarging the double height opening at the entry, and raising the ceiling at the second floor.
